                            Language Arts:

                            MONDAY: No school, no homework.
                            TUESDAY: Chapter 6 Literary Focus worksheet p.3
                            WEDNESDAY: Write a comic in first person narration.  It should be fully colored and perfect, given that this is a minimum day.  Period 1, you ALSO need to read "If the Shoe Fits" and rewrite the main events in first person.
                            THURSDAY: Rewrite your first person comic as a third person comic.  So, you should have two comics side by side, one written in first person and one written in third person.  The two comics should be identical, except for the point of view of the writing.
                            FRIDAY: Missing work

                            Language Arts:

                            MONDAY: Period 1 - Write a concrete poem about an object of your choice using line length to create a picture.  Period 5 - Begin your "Freak the Mighty" project. Bring proof of progress.
                            TUESDAY: Period 1 - Write one haiku poem inspired by each chapter of "Petty Crimes" we have read so far. Remember, haiku poems are three lines long.  The first and third lines have five syllables each.  The second line has seven syllables.  Period 5 - Write a concrete poem and a series of three haiku poems inspired by "Freak the Mighty" or "Love That Dog." Bring proof of project progress if you didn't already bring it.
                            WEDNESDAY: Complete the poetry project.
                            THURSDAY: Period 1 - Write diamante poem. Period 5 - Write diamante poem. Continue working on your "Freak the Mighty" project.  Bring proof of progress.
                            FRIDAY: Missing work.

                            MONDAY: Period 1 - Finish and color India Map. Period 6 - None.

                            WEDNESDAY: Answer questions in the "Sneetches" packet.
                            THURSDAY: Paraphrase the poem, "Annabelle Lee" by Edgar Allen Poe.  Do this on notebook paper.

                            MONDAY: Period 1 - Finish script/storyboard and be ready to film your movie project tomorrow.  Period 5 - Read chapters 13-14 of the text and complete a Flow Map for major story events from those two chapters.
                            TUESDAY: Period 1 - Read "The Boxing Lesson" and finish your character bubble map.  Map must include text evidence for each character trait (5 total), including page numbers in the text.  Period 5 - Finish your character bubble map.  Map must include text evidence for each character trait (5 total), including page numbers in the text.  Complete Warriner's p.69, Exercise A and B ONLY.

                              Parents, we ask that students present their Agenda and finished homework to you every evening.  We need your help to keep students accountable for their work.  Please check their assignments for completion (to the best of your ability), complete sentences, and quality/neatness.  Then, please sign their Agenda nightly to indicate that your student it ready for the next day of school.
