Unit Introduction

In this unit, you will explore the topic of Japanese Internment Camps in the United States during World War II. Using multiple sources of informational text, including images and video clips, you will investigate this topic from multiple perspectives.

Vocabulary:

Primary Source: An original document, image, video clip, or audio recording that was created during a particular time period. EX: diaries, original legal documents, recordings of an event as it happened, etc.
Secondary Source: A document or digital resources that is created after studying primary sources. EX: textbooks, encyclopedias, informational text written years later, etc.

Informational Text Sources:

We will read and annotate each one of these primary source documents in eBackpack.  Then, we will use our annotated sources to help us write an argument about Japanese Internment.
