Handwritten Final Copies:

Picture
  • If you are hand-writing a final copy, it must be in blue or black ink.  
  • You need to use erasable pen or use white out (liquid paper) to correct mistakes.  Absolutely NO cross-outs or scribbled out words are allowed. 
  • Skip lines in order to double space your work.  
  • Make certain you have included a heading (name, date, period) in the top, right-hand corner of your first page.  
  • Multiple pages must be stapled together.




Typed Final Copies:

  • You should always type using size 12 Times New Roman font.  An alternative would be size 11 Verdana font.
  • Type a heading and align it to the top, right-hand corner.
  • Skip a line and type your title in the center.  Do not double-space the heading or title.
  • Algin the body of your essay to the left.  Indent five spaces (or press the TAB key) when you begin each paragraph.
  • Lastly, highlight the body of the text and double space using the "spacing" function or a similar menu option.
  • Multiple pages must be stapled together.
