Well-Researched Argument Essay

Task:

There are many different kinds of schools.  For this assignment, research coeducational and single-gender schools.  Many experts argue that single-gender schools provide many benefits to students, while other experts argue that coeducational schools are best.  Collect evidence for both sides of the argument, then write an essay to argue your point of view.  

DO follow these requirements:

  • Use only logical appeals based on fact.
  • Make certain that your writing reflects all of our classroom writing norms.
  • Provide evidence using the Evidence Based Terms.
  • Cite the names of specific experts and organizations when you mention them in your writing.  Example: "According to Dr. Jones, who is a child development expert, children should learn to work with a variety of other people."
  • Cite all of the sources where you found information at the end of your essay by creating a Works Cited page.

Do NOT do any of the following:

  • Do NOT forget to include evidence to support your argument.
